The best advertisement for what I do is what other people say about me, so I would like to share some of their comments with you...

Charlie: "We decided to leave our miniature dachshund 'Charlie' in Moya's capable hands since he was only eight weeks old. Both my partner and I are working professionals and couldn't bear to leave our much loved puppy at home alone by himself. Our vets in Banstead gave us Moya's card, and since then we have never looked back! Moya provides:

• Trusted safe & secure environment.

• Trusted key holder to our home.

• Fantastic reliability and extremely flexible to our needs.

• Expert advice on all areas of owning a dog such as health, obedience, feeding etc.

• Great socialisation with many other dog breeds. It's because of this that we have a very happy, well balanced dog with no guilt when we leave him when we are at work or on holiday.Regardless of how easy it has made our lives, the most important thing is that Charlie really loves playing with all of his friends at the farm!" "We used kennels for our first dog, but had always been unhappy at his loss of freedom and home comforts. So it was fortunate that for our second dog we found Moya. At her request we visited the farm when he was a puppy and were impressed not only with her knowledge and care of dogs, but also because the dogs have freedom to roam during the day, safely within the confines of the farm. They learn to socialise and become part of Moya's pack of well-behaved dogs. Every day they are taken for long walks in Moya's large fenced fields. We sometimes let him stay at the farm for a day as a treat! Our dog is very happy there and is reluctant to leave his friends, one in particular, when we call to collect him. The last time we collected Barney all the dogs were resting in the van. Josh let some of the dogs out with Barney but he would not come to us with the other dogs but stayed near the van. I asked Josh 'Is Charlie in the van'. He said 'yes' and I said 'you will have to let Charlie out as well'. Charlie was let out and they both then came towards us. Hence our comment " he is reluctant to leave his friends, one in particular." This is a wonderful environment, perfect for dogs and highly recommended - in fact DOGGY HEAVEN

Blue: "My name is Blue and I am a beautiful Weimaraner dog. Moya has looked after me since I was 4 months old, I am now 3 and a half. When I first met Moya I was a bit of a jumper but after that meeting Moya helped me to understand that jumping up was not acceptable behaviour and I have never done it again! I stay with Moya when my family go on holiday, sometimes for 2 weeks and once for 3! She also cares for me if my Mum has to go out for the day. When I arrive, Moya's pack welcomes me as only dogs know how to and I don't look back as I cannot wait to get into the farm, I love it there.

By being with the rest of the pack since I was little has helped me become very socialised and to respect the pecking order of a pack and to know my place in it. Now a few words from my Mum: "My name is Natalie and as Blue has said he has been very well looked after by Moya for some time. At first, like any new puppy owner, I was very apprehensive about leaving Blue anywhere but thankfully Moya was recommended to me and my worries were over. Blue gets so excited when we approach either the farm or the house as he knows he's going to have fun. Whenever I collect him, especially when we have been on holiday, he comes home happy and very fit! I would not leave Blue with anyone else and that includes family, as I know when he is with Moya all his needs are met." Natalie

"Whatever owners think of the dog-boarding facilities they arrange for their dogs, the ultimate test is what the dogs think. I have absolutely no worries about my dogs boarding with you as I know they love their stay with you. They are getting excited in the car as they know where they’re going and often seem to be a bit reluctant to leave to go home! And from my point of view this is fantastic as I can leave them without any anxiety and know they’ll really enjoy themselves. If I was a dog I’d want to come and stay with you: a dog-friendly home environment, acres of fields at the farm, other dogs to play with and anything they need – brilliant! I can recommend you without hesitation." Karen

Rambling Pooches was set up by myself,  Moya Hayward, in 2001 in leafy Surrey, on a wonderful 38 acre smallholding. I wanted to provide dog walking services, as I felt that there was a need for people who had to be away from their pets but still wanted them to be exercised.

From this, it became apparent that there was a need for holiday care as an alternative to boarding kennels or an agency service where the dogs were handed to others to care for.

This has grown into a thriving family business, and I am joined by my son Josh to offer an exceptional pet care service with a wealth of experience, as testified by our many happy human and canine clients...
